Ok today I feel led to remind somebody out there within eye or ear-shot of my written or spoken word that we pray not for our mountains to be moved, but for the strength to climb them.

We ask not for our stumbling blocks to be taken away, but for the wisdom to recognize them and go around.  And, we make no such request for our life to be “Easy,” but for the resilience and focus and tenacity to hang in there and overcome when it’s “Hard.”

Lord, we’re not asking for much.  Just for you to give us the ability to use the ability you’ve already given us to the absolute best of our ability and we’ll then settle for the results it brings.

Feel free to borrow this prayer as needed, but keep it in good condition because I’m sure I’ll be needing it again real soon.  😉

In my Texas voice:  Ya’ll better get ya’ll little fannys over to my book-signing today (Sunday 14th) at the largest Starbucks in Texas.  It’s located in the Uptown area of Dallas in the West Village Plaza located at 3699 McKinney Ave near the 75 freeway and Lemmon Ave.

The Plaza is between Lemmon and Blackburn Ave. and the Starbucks is on Cole Ave.  You can’t miss it.  We’ll be there at 7pm and hang out to the cows come home.  Mr. BreadCrumb would love to shake your hand or hug your neck and enjoy your company in an electric environment.

Oh, and you can pick up a book and a few other things if you’d like while you’re there and I want to give you something for FREE that’s sure to help you to stay focused on your goals and dreams in the days ahead.

Sitting in a good-ole’ southern What-a-burger fast-food joint with my Dad and a dozen teenage girls walk in with cowgirl boots on with track running short-shorts.  WHAT!!!

104 degree weather outside and I can’t believe I see rain coming down.  Humidity hovering around 50-60% and I’ve already had my second shower of the day.  Whoooosh…  Sweat tea and a female hospitality server walking around using words like “Honey, Ya’ll” and my personal favorite, “Sweetie-Pie”.  Yep, it’s confirmed…  I’m officially in TEXAS!!!  LOL  😉

I was recently asked by a parent “What is the best way I can get my kids to set some goals and focus and follow their dreams?”

My answer was quite simple.  “Show them by setting some of your own goals and focusing and following your own dreams and let them watch the process.”

Yes my friends the best lessons that we teach our kids will be “Caught” and not “Taught”.  Let them catch you in the act of doing that which you want most to teach them.  The art of “modeling” is one of the most overlooked and underused skillsets this side of the universe but you can start leveraging it for your purposes starting today.

That’s right folks it’s never too late for us to model how to make it GREAT!  This little breadcrumb of wisdom can make a huge difference in the life of that special youngster or oldster of yours.  So, let’s go show’em how to Make it GREAT!  🙂
