If I told you that you only had one swing at bat would you try to knock it out of the park, or would you just try to bunt to get on base? Hmmm…
Well, I have some sobering news for you. In the sport of Major League Baseball “bunting” is considered a sacrificial move which almost never has positive results. In fact, the chances of success is so low that many baseball analyst believe that the strategy should’ve been abandoned years ago, yet many players still try it.
Would it surprise you if I told you that this same phenomenon exist in life? That’s right my friends, in life we all ONLY have one chance at bat. We still can’t come back for a do-over the last time I checked. Yet despite the odds for success many still insist on “bunting” just to try to get on base and get by.
Well, I’m here to challenge you this year to take your one swing at this “Life” thing and aim for the fence as you attempt to knock it out of the park and Make it GREAT!

Me, Myself and I all agree that 2015 is going to be an Awesome year!!! But there’s one small catch, we have to be willing to put in the work.
If what scientist say is true that we’re all made-up of “matter”, then a great question to kick-off our New Year is “Will you make your “matter” matter in a positive way for other forms of matter this year?” Hmmm… Have you not only thought about just accomplishing your goals, but also pushing and pulling others to accomplish theirs? Think about it…

I woke up this morning feeling inspired, cozy and warm,
So I grabbed my trusted pen & pad & wrote you this short poem:
Now that we’ve made another full rotation around our great sun,
It’s now a good time to reflect back on what we’ve all done.
Did we manage to live a year full of both challenges and fun?
Or was it one of missed opportunities & things we should’ve done?
Be careful NOT to spend much time dwelling on those things of the past.
But instead move-on ahead to a new year of things that will last.
I invite you to consider adding a few things to your list,
Some Do’s & Dont’s & Will’s & Wont’s with a little slight twist.
Move forward with confidence & don’t be afraid to take a chance,
And never, ever give yourself away to worrying in advance.
Make a point to dwell on good thoughts throughout your long day,
And never miss the opportunity to give your beautiful smile away.
Be sure to make some quality time for yourself and your crew,
And never forget about helping someone worse-off then you.
You can also make a point to give away a compliment or two,
And say “Hi” to a perfect stranger, not just one but a few.
These are just a few things you should find are quite easy to do,
After all, a much better year starts with a much better you.
