I was talking with a good friend not long ago and she was agonizing over a recent encounter she had with a fellow team member that was extremely rude and insensitive to her.  You know the type.  The kind of person that’s quick to get loud and obnoxious and give you a piece of their mind when they really need to hold on to as much of it as they can.  I call these people “Joy Stealers”.  The incident that took place was totally unexpected and over-the-top in its inappropriateness for the time and place it took place.   My friend was emotionally shaken by this event and I quickly reminded her not to be so quick to forfeit her joy and peace because of the callous act of a rude, crude, bad mood “Joy Stealer” on a rampage.

We can all make a point to keep our joy and peace under lock and key and refuse to allow anyone to steal it.  Fending off “Joy Stealers” can be a full time job and daily battle that’s definitely worth fighting over and over again.  Fortunately my friend got the message quickly and regained her joy in the moment and vowed to stay on track in the days ahead.  YEAH!!!  “JOY STEALER” YOU LOSE!!!  Crisis averted once again.

I invite you to adopt the same philosophy today and everyday along your way to making this life GREAT!  No needless stress inflicted by “Joy Stealers” over here.  Not today.  Just another small breadcrumb to making it GREAT!  ENJOY

Over the years I’ve realized life’s struggles, challenges and disappointments don’t just all-of-a-sudden come to a screeching halt just because we find religion or get a huge dose of positivity.  We must be even more vigilant and prepare to fight some major physical and psychological battles because as I’ve said before, evil will never sit idly by and let the good go unchallenged.  

But take heart my friends and be encouraged today for I’m told that the referee in our good fight has already been bribed and paid off by a HUGE silent partner with deep pockets.  So, in any cause that’s noble and just, we simply cannot lose because in every book I’ve ever read, “good” triumphs over “evil” everyday of the week and twice on Sundays.  

So let’s commit to fight everyday in pursuit of our respective noble goals and ambitious dreams as if it’s our last day on Earth, and one day we’ll be right.  Until then let’s continue to make it GREAT!
