In the scavenger hunt of life I found Genuine Joy in the twinkling eyes of my kids, True Love and companionship in a blue-eyed babe name Karen, Happiness in a spirit of giving, Joy from an internal discovery of self, Passion in creating value in the lives of others, Satisfaction in living a life that matters, Purpose in making a positive impact on our hurting humanity and Forgiveness and Acceptance in a sovereign God that loves me in spite of all my faults, flaws, fallacies and failures.

Yes my friends on my journey I was fortunate to discover all of this and more and I can honestly tell you that a scavenger hunt of this magnitude comes at a price that requires years of investment, but the payoff and reward is soooooo sweet.

My sincere hope and prayer is that you too will experience the same gratifying results on the scavenger hunt of your life as you attempt to Make it GREAT!

Was watching a beautiful sunset yet again last night and it suddenly dawned on me that the crack of dawn and the crack of dusk look exactly the same. The difference exist only in our physical location on the earth. The interesting thing is so too is the seasons of our lives.

Depending on the current position in our life, some of us may feel like the sun’s coming up to a new day and others may feel as if it’s going down. Whatever the case is for you, please realize that through rising and setting suns opportunity always abounds.

Was at an event recently and I actually heard one of the speakers say that a recent study showed that when traumatic events happen in our life, being positive doesn’t help. My first thought after hearing such a thing was “Who in the heck did they survey to get that information?”

Over the years some of the most positive people I’ve had the privilege of knowing have experienced major traumatic events in their lives and credit their positive outlook and perspective with their recovery. So my good word to you today is to be careful my friends, for with the ever-increasing “Information Age” also comes an ever-increasing amount of “questionable information”.

So, if you’re ever given the choice of being positive or negative after a traumatic event in your life, face the reality of change and then choose your future outlook and attitude wisely. Be positive NOT negative and Make it GREAT!!!
