Was up late last night so I grabbed my pen to write…
A dash of disappointment with a smidgen of struggle,
A pound of persistence and a loved one to snuggle.
A big dream in your heart and a laser-focused mind,
Balanced ever-so-delicately with giving your kids some time.
A sprinkle of optimism for a super-productive day,
A bible and other inspirational books to show you the way.
A resolve to never give up and to definitely never give in.
And a commitment to only surround yourself with positive, quality friends.
A soul filled with servitude and a willingness to do for others,
And a grandiose view that all people are sisters and brothers.
An understanding that our mission field is not inside four walls,
But outside among this hurting humanity is where we answer the call.
These are the important ingredients that can make any life worth living.
Oh, and don’t forget another important ingredient is not what you “get” but what you’re giving.
Adopt these ingredients as your own and put them on your plate,
And don’t be surprised when you start seeing your life shift from “good” to absolutely GREAT!
