I’ve learned that sometimes in life we have to sit down and have a long heart-to-heart conversation with ourselves and be willing to ask some tough questions. Then we may have to give “Ourselves” some good advice and actually follow it.

So a good question today is, “If YOU approached ‘You’ today seeking a little advice, how would You advise ‘You’ in your current situation and circumstance?” Hmmm… You may want to do a little due diligence with your heart and give it some serious thought before moving forward.

Yes my friends don’t be surprised if sometimes the best advice you get in many of your life situations and circumstances actually come from “You”. So, listen-up and pay close attention to yourself. It just might make all the difference you’ll ever need.

This life has revealed to me that we’re all born with a set of internal gifts and talents surrounded by an environment that harbors an unknown number of different challenges and circumstances and just as our gifts and talents may vary so too does the level and degree of the challenges and circumstances that each of us will face.

So, rather you were born rich or poor, dark or light, healthy or handicapped, abled or disabled, big or small, short or tall or with hair or bald, we all have our own unique gauntlet of life to traverse and our goal should be to leverage our God-given, internal gifts and talents and grow them to their full potential along the way in service to others.

I showed up unannounced at the gym today in search of one of my old friends whom I hadn’t hung out with in a few weeks. I knew he would be there hanging out in his usual areas so he wouldn’t be very hard to find. This friend is definitely one of those rare friends of mine that I have a love/hate relationship with but he’s guaranteed to always produce results in me in more ways than one.

Many of you may know this friend of mine and may also have similar stories of how he’s helped you to produce desired results too in the past. For those of you who haven’t quite figured out who this friend of mine is yet, please allow me to introduce you to him. His name is PAIN.

Yep that’s right my friends, good-ole’ Pain is his name and he also has a couple of cousins named Adversity and Strain and I’ve found that they too are equally as talented at producing results and making me better.

I encourage you to get to know these cousins Pain, Adversity and Strain on a personal basis because it’s there you will eventually find the GAIN you seek.
