Unlike our favorite cocktail or drink we would probably never willingly ask for our lives to be shaken or stirred. However, this “life” thing has taught me that this action is absolutely necessary if we are to become that which we need to be in order to see that which we desire to see.

Was chatting with a group of high school students yesterday and in a moment of opportunity I felt compelled to remind them that the simplest yet highest honor and respect they can pay to our men and women who serve and have served our great country is to show reverence for our flag daily in their respective classrooms during the pledge of allegiance and the singing of our national anthem.

After all they’ve done that mattered,
We can honor them by cutting the chatter.

Thank You to all of those who have made our freedoms possible.

Lack of this one thing has claimed the goals, dreams and the grandest aspirations of an untold number of individuals both young and not-so-young the world over. It’s antagonist-kryptonite and biggest formidable foe by far has to be a cunning creature called “distractions” and while many have found it quite easy to obtain, only a faithful few have found it easy to sustain.

So what is this thing that claims our dream? Well, it’s the lack of “Focus”. Yes that’s right my friends, being able to stay laser focused through the fire and the fog of life’s adversity and difficulty is not just a walk in the park, it’s more like a sprint through the minefield.

So I encourage you in the days ahead to get clear on why you’re here and have no fear as you focus and steer clear of those distractions both far and near on your way to achieving the results that you desire most and be sure to Make it GREAT!!!

And never forget that: What’s focused on most, develops in the host.

Quick Question: Is your current job preventing you from being all that you can be? Does your ladder of success have only a limited amount of rungs to climb? Is there an invisible ceiling that’s restricting, inhibiting and bridling your ability to reach your fullest of potential in your area of passion? Hmmm…

Would it surprise you if I told you that for most people the unfortunate answer to this question is “Yes”? Many are living-out their life doing purposeless, passionless, pointless production in areas that won’t make a positive impact for our hurting humanity and many have quietly convinced themselves to believe that it’s okay. It’s almost like they’re just doing time in hopes that after this life they’ll have a chance to come back and do it again. Hmmm…

Well the harsh truth is that, no you can’t come back after this life for a “do-over” and checking out on making a positive impact on this world is not okay. The way I see it is, we each have a choice to make and this choice is made daily to take action on our passions and purpose for good in service to others or NOT to take action on our passions and purpose for the positive benefit of others.

So today I would like to encourage you to take the limits off and blast through that ceiling to reach your fullest of potential and make your impact felt around the globe. Some of you may even have to consider switching ladders to do what matters. Whatever the case is for you, be bold and be sure to create your plan, work your plan and then expect for things not to go quite as planned, but stay the course until you reach, grow, climb and know that you’re Making it GREAT!!!

So often is the case that those who are BIG in status and success may oftentimes have even BIGGER negative vices. Yep, that’s right my friends, success in the public eye does not make a person immune to the negative vices of life in the private eye. In fact, I believe that one’s success only enhances and exposes what a person is already privately made-up of inside.

Simply put, success can bring out the best that’s already in some and expose the worst that already exist in others. So don’t be surprised of what’s behind the private eyes.
