For all those times that the ball didn’t quite bounce your way. For all those critical moments where things didn’t go quite like you expected. For those days where you gave it your best but still came up a little bit short, please allow me to offer you some candid words of encouragement today by telling you emphatically that “TODAY is YOUR DAY!” This time it’s “your” time to shine.

I’ve found that there’s nothing more powerful than a dream whose time has come to be fulfilled. Yes indeed it is definitely your time. You may have missed out or fell a bit short in the past, but not this time, not today. This time your hard work will reap the benefits of its payoff. This time the fruits of your labor will glisten in the bright rays of the unfailing sun. This time you will experience what it’s like to be called “Victorious Overcomer.”

The story of the “Little Engine that Could” continues to inspire many with the positive attitude and catch-phrase, “I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.” Today I challenge you to raise the bar on yourself and change your attitude to a “Conviction” that emphatically proclaims, “I know I can, I Know I Can, I KNOW I CAN!”

Was at an event recently and I actually heard one of the speakers say that a recent study showed that when traumatic events happen in our life, being positive doesn’t help. My first thought after hearing such a thing was “Who in the heck did they survey to get that information?”

Over the years some of the most positive people I’ve had the privilege of knowing have experienced major traumatic events in their lives and credit their positive outlook and perspective with their recovery. So my good word to you today is to be careful my friends, for with the ever-increasing “Information Age” also comes an ever-increasing amount of “questionable information”.

So, if you’re ever given the choice of being positive or negative after a traumatic event in your life, face the reality of change and then choose your future outlook and attitude wisely. Be positive NOT negative and Make it GREAT!!!

The true measure of a man is NOT in how much wealth he can gather but in him living a life that really matters.

NOT by the size of his house but how he really treats his spouse.

NOT by the stuff that he owns but by what he does when he’s all alone.

NOT by him graduating from college but by him continuing to pursue increasing his knowledge.

And, NOT by the quality of his conversation but by his commitment to helping God’s precious creations.

Yes my friends, the true measure of a man comes ONLY by using the right yardstick. So we must not be duped into believing the hype of society’s type or believe the lie of the world’s high because answering that call could be our downfall.

As I look around in observation, I see that TV ratings are on the up while integrity and ethical standards are on the down. Nonsense appears to be on the rise while common sense is on the fall. And values, morals and decency are on the way out while raunchiness, vulgarity and reckless prosperity are on the way in.

So, one must ask the question, “Are we progressing or digressing?” Well, I guess the answer largely depends on our perspective and life objectives. But as for me, I think that the ladder is a more accurate description of where we’re headed as a society which definitely gives me pause and a strong cause. That cause is one that encourages the masses to be the exception to society’s en vogue, new morbid standard.

It’s time for the unsung hero’s song to be heard and the idea of nice guys/gals finishing last to be put in the past. So let’s keep modeling what we want the world to be and displaying it for all the world to see as we attempt to promote a fair dose of decency. Let’s Make it GREAT and help our hurting humanities state.

After having lived in five different states and two different countries over the past years I’ve found that true happiness has very little to do with venue and everything to do with what’s in you.

Yep that’s right my friends, so don’t be so quick to move to Spain to ease your pain or transfer to Perth to reduce your hurt and discover your worth, or even change your employment to increase your enjoyment.

The truth is people still get depressed in Dubai, feel miserable in Maui and commit suicide in Sicily. Why? Well, it’s simply because true happiness is never found in places or property. It’s found inside of the person.

So as a result, I invite you to consider NOT focusing on where you’re going to move to, but what’s moving inside of you. This is indeed a little breadcrumb of wisdom that can surely lead you to making this “good” life GREAT!

So let’s choose to Make it GREAT!!!
