Was up late last night again and of course you know what that means. Yep, I created another short rhyme for those enduring some tough times. Enjoy….

Life can be so unkind at times and the nights can be so cruel,
When you and your inner-me inside are having a little duel.

But take heart my friends for you’re not alone for many have done the same,
When problems arise from bad decisions and pride and we have no one else to blame.

I’ve learned a secret many years ago that seems to get me through,
So listen up close and take good notes and I’ll gladly share it with you.

“This too shall pass,” is the phrase we say to get us through a rough day.
Then pray in silence requesting some guidance and soon everything will be Okay.

Then don’t be foolish to repeat the same mistakes over-and-over again.
Then the unkind life and late cruel nights will gradually come to an end.

So don’t let grief and regret become a threat by becoming your most prized possession,
Let go of the past-pain and the uncomfortable strain for it came to bring you a lesson.

I was tempted to cheat but I thought that it would be pretty ridiculous for me to cheat on a test that I created and expect others not to do the same. LOL… I’m an 8 but I used to be a 10. So, I guess I’m getting better. So what’s your score? And, don’t cheat, BE HONEST! 😉

Nothing pleases our Creator more than someone who ultimately decides to cross the threshold from doing evil and sewing negativity into this world to demonstrating “good” and planting positivity.

So if you haven’t yet crossed that threshold of change, give it some serious thought about which side you reeeeally want to be on. From the looks of it lately, evil and negativity never takes a day off or holiday so we can sure use a ton of help trying to Make it Great over here on this positive side.

Forty-four years of living has taught me many important things. One of those important things is that the biggest bully in this life can actually be “life” itself.

Yep that’s right my friends, the game of “life” can beat us up and beat us down both verbally and physically with various forms of adversity and if we’re not careful it could even quite possibly push us into a position of considering taking ourselves out of the game.

But take heart my friends for just as with any other bully, life too can eventually be put-in-check if you stand up to it. So I’d like to encourage you in the days ahead to TAKE YOUR STAND against the bully called “life” and vow to stay in the game no matter what. Make a bold proclamation that you will indeed keep pushing to Make it GREAT!

Ok everybody, I have to be honest and admit that I gave-in a few weeks ago and ended up picking up a guest that all of my friends seem to hate. The truth is she just kinda snuck in on me like she usually does. I’ve picked her up a few times before in the past and she would usually leave after about two or three days without much of a fight but this time for some unknown reason I’m struggling to get her to disappear. Ughhh!!!

I think she’s being tougher this time around because I’ve gotten a little bit older and my natural defenses are a bit compromised now. It’s almost like I can hear her quietly singing that Jennifer Holliday famous 1982 song, “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going”. LOL. Yep she’s as stubborn as an old plantation mule and appears to be dug-in like a Texas tick. But, I’m now officially and publically declaring that I’m turning up the heat on her so eventually she’s bound to get uncomfortable and have to go.

So what’s the name of this unwanted guest that’s got me making public proclamations? Well, her name is “Five Pounds”. Yep that’s right friends, Five Pounds snuck-up on me and now I have to crank up my cardio and turndown my treats to send her packing once again.

I caution you to watch your back folks because Five Pounds and all of her cousins, 10 Pounds, 20 Pounds, etc., etc. are all equal opportunity guest and will take-up residence with any “body” without invitation. So, don’t let her or any of her relatives hook up with you and prevent you from Making it GREAT!
