To all of you teachers out there who are using my devotional style book “Bread Crumbs to Making it GREAT” to engage your students and start your class sessions, I want to take this time to give you a HUGE High-five. And for those teachers who’re reading this entry to their students right now from my blog, the best advice I can give to many of your toughest students today is to “Shut-Up!”

That’s right, I said “Shut Up!” Shut up and stop whining and belly-aching about your problems and what you don’t have and start making great use of what you do have. This “life” thing has taught me that it takes resilience, focus and perseverance in spite of our current undesirable situations to Make it GREAT!

So get out there and do what it takes to Make it GREAT!

One of the most destructive lies ever told is the one that many people tell themselves to justify their living small, but not you.

I’ve had the privilege to speak to thousands of people all around the world over the years who are trying to traverse this obstacle course of life and you’d be surprised to hear some of the excuses I’ve heard in an attempt to justify living a life grounded in mediocrity. The real truth is that our decision to live small helps no one at all, including ourselves.

So, I’d like to encourage you today to supersize your vision for what’s possible for you and the impact that you can make on your community and even the WORLD!

Woke up this morning in my bed lying flat on my back staring at the ceiling when suddenly it occurred to me how blessed I am because an untold number of people woke up this morning staring at the ceiling but they couldn’t get out of their bed. And, I’m sure that an even greater number of people woke up this morning lying on the ground or a park bench with no ceiling above them to stare at. And even more tragic still, a massive number of people didn’t even wake up this morning at all. Hmmm…

Mr. Bread Crumb wants to take this opportunity to remind you to count your blessings and to realize that it’s “All Good” as they say, even when it seems like it’s “All Bad” because even then in those not-so-good moments of time, we’re still being equipped and prepared for something more significant around the corner.

So PRESS-ON I say and count your many blessings and keep Making it GREAT!

I have some bad news today that’s actually some “Good News” in disguise.

The yearning of your passion will never go away until you turn full into the face of it and address it. That’s right folks, no amount of money or material things will ever be enough to suppress or satisfy the quiet call of your passion. Not until you give it your undivided attention, shall it then cease to keep you from feeling like there’s something more or different for you out there.

I truly believe that our Creator installed that special void in us at birth and it can only be filled by the area of passion that we were specifically designed for. So, wonder no more about why you’re continuing to feel that little tug of discomfort, itch of dissatisfaction or whisper of something missing. It’s just your passion and purpose calling you. So answer the phone and Make it GREAT!
