• • I recently started following Cedric’s blog a few months ago and after being captivated by his true stories and short inspirational writings I eventually ended up buying one of his books, “Bread Crumbs to Making it Great.” As a High School English teacher I felt that my students would also benefit from his writings just as much as I was.  So after I introduced the book to my class they became equally as captivated as I was and immediately responded positively after reading and seeing his positive insight and outlook on life.  Now, when I say “Let’s do Bread Crumbs” to my class, they respond by saying, “Good, I’m hungry.”  Cedric’s writing style and little quips are having a noticeable, positive impact on my students and if I forget to start the class with Bread Crumbs, they never fail to remind me.  I even have kids approach me to find out what they missed out of Bread Crumbs when they’re absent.  His book was brilliantly designed and the devotional-style makes it very easy to read.  After reading an entry we usually have a short discussion to internalize the lesson.  This book has provided a spring board for discussions that easily lead to analysis of certain standards for our subject area like “style” and “author credibility”.  Thanks Cedric for creating a piece of literature that teachers and students can actually enjoy and look forward to reading to brighten their day and get them on their positive way.  We can’t wait for you to come speak at my school again.  You ROCK!          – Cassie Canales (High School Teacher /Coach)
